----------TBEST 4.7 Release (7/29/2021) Build 7880 • If present, users should uninstall TBEST 4.6 before installing TBEST 4.7. No data will be lost in this process. • TBEST 4.7 is compatible with ArcGIS 10.2.2, 10.3.1, 10.4.1, 10.5.1, 10.6.1, 10.7.1, and 10.8.1. ----------TBEST 4.7 Release (8/13/2021) Build 7895 • Included support for the TBEST Bus Stop Balancing Add-In and Scripting • Updated the GTFS Export function to include the ability to populate unique GTFS export stop_id values when there are duplicate Stop Name values in the TBEST network. This supports regional GTFS network export where multiple agency GTFS networks are imported into a single TBEST network and stop_id values are duplicated between the agencies. ----------TBEST 4.7 Release (8/27/2021) Build 7909 • Fixed an issue with GTFS Import tool failing when Saturday or Sunday service is not present within the GTFS file. • Fixed an issue with the TBEST Ridership Estimation Model Run creating an error during the Route Socio-Economic capture process when the Transit System is referencing Address-level employment data. • Fixed an issue with the scenario map route selection rendering when route patterns do not contain any linear geometry. • Updated the TBEST Model Validation procedure to lock the main TBEST UI during processing. • Updated the downloadable Florida JTA transit system with the Jacksonville Skyway route. • Updated the downloadable Florida GoLine transit system with the latest GTFS. • Updated the Florida Statewide Transit Network with updated GoLine routes and the Jacksonville Skyway. ----------TBEST 4.7 Release (11/03/2021) Build 7977 • Added the Erase feature to the Mobility Areas tools. This feature takes an input Mobility Area and removes the intersecting geography from another input Mobility Area. The tool is available via TBEST Explorer when right-clicking on a Mobility Area. • Fixed an issue with the interactive Segment performance reporting. The issue was experienced when the user selects the Segment Bandwidth Map Option when generating the report. ----------TBEST 4.7 Release (12/15/2021) Build 8019 • Updated the TBEST Network Accessibility Build to account for the following: o The ability to transfer back to the subject route during the network accessiblity calculations. Transfers back to the same route are considered to be a normal transfer. o Treat continued progression along the route in the same direction or the opposite direction at connecting route pattern end points the same as interlined routes o Updated accessibility algorithm to better reflect actual transfer connection times o Added a default Transfer Penalty of 5 minutes to all transfers. Users can still add additional penalty but cannot go below 5 minutes. The previous default value was 0 minutes. o Corrected an issue where in some cases interlined route connectivity/accessibility was not being reflected. • Fixed issue with the GTFS Import tool where if the input GTFS contains a transfers.txt file and the stop_id’s in the file are alpha-numeric values, TBEST could produce an error during import. • Fixed an issue with the Scenario Summary tool where the total of Population and Employment variables was not being recalculated when the reported was filtered to include a subset of routes. • Added the ability to set the walk distance variable in the TBEST TDP Report. The default value is .75 miles which is consistent with the previous hard-coded value. Within the report, the Population and Employment Access statistics now lists the walk distance used in the TDP report generation. • General bug fixes and performance improvements. ----------TBEST 4.7 Release (4/18/2022) Build 8143 • Added 'Scenario Groups' functionality which allows users to organize TBEST network Scenarios into folders within TBEST Explorer. Scenario Groups can be created by right-clicking on existing Scenario within TBEST Explorer and adding the Scenario to a New Group or to an Existing Group. Removing a Scenario Group will not delete the Scenarios within the group. • Added Mobility Area Groups' functionality which allows users to organize TBEST Mobility Areas into folders within TBEST Explorer. Mobility Area Groups can be created by right-clicking on existing Mobility Area within TBEST Explorer and adding the Mobility Area to a New Group or to an Existing Group. Removing a Mobility Area Group will not delete the Mobility Areas within the group. • By default, TBEST references the public offering of the OpenRouteService.org (ORS) service which allows TBEST to generate walk sheds, drive sheds, bicycle sheds, wheelchair sheds and digitize transit route alignments using ORS shortest path tools. The ORS public server offering is available world wide and works for any US agency. However, the public offering is limited in server hits per day and hits per second. ORS allows for users to setup local servers which can be configured with local OpenStreetMap geographies. In this TBEST release, to increase performance in generating sheds and improve route digitizing performance, users can now reference a Custom ORS server URL into the TBEST Downloads Settings. Referenced Custom ORS servers enable TBEST to remove ORS Server hits per day and per second and remove selected feature count caps when generating sheds relative to selected transit features. A Custom ORS server also improves the route alignment digitizing responsiveness. In addition, with a locally referenced ORS server, the TBEST Model environment will enable a Walk Shed option to capture stop-level socio-economic and land use data. ORS server setup instructions using Docker can be found at: https://giscience.github.io/openrouteservice/installation/Running-with-Docker.html. Once the dedicated ORS server is setup, users can reference the ORS Server URL within the TBEST Download Settings. • General bug fixes and performance improvements. ----------TBEST 4.7 Release (4/28/2022) Build 8153 • Added support for ArcGIS 10.8.2 • Fixed an issue with the TBEST Download Settings not updating properly with the 8143 release build . If you an issue opening TBEST due to a Download Settings error, please contact TBEST Technical Support to fix the issue. • Fixed an issue with the GTFS Import where if the GTFS routes.txt is coded with GTFS Extended Route Type values, users would receive an error during the import. TBEST now supports the GTFS Extended Route Properties. • General bug fixes and performance improvements. ----------TBEST 4.7 Release (8/9/2022) Build 8256 • Fixed an issue with the TBEST ESRI Basemap service not working when using older ArcGIS versions. • Updated the TBEST Validation setup to not require that all routes be in validation collections to perform the model validation. If routes are left out of the validation, those routes will be treated as if they are new routes and TBEST will apply averaged validation factors during model application. • Updated TBEST Bus Stop Balancing tool to remove balanced stops from the input scenario network. Users will be prompted after the balancing has completed to save the balancing network edits. If saved, the stops which the Bus Stop Balancing Tool reccomends for removal will be deleted from the scenario network. It is recommended that scenarios are copied using TBEST Explorer before utilizing as input into the tool. In addition, the Bus Stop Balancing Tool reporting was consolidated to create a single report summarizing the results for all input routes, rather than individual reports for each input route. • Updated GTFS Import Tool to include a location-based stop special generator/amenity and Park-n-Ride parking space counts transfer to the incoming GTFS network. In prior versions, TBEST would transfer based on the association of Stop Name between the two networks. This method caused issues when importing multiple agency GTFS networks into a single TBEST scenario network and the some Stop Name values were the same. • General bug fixes and performance improvements.
